Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, high‑quality imaging and patient care in our Nuclear Medicine department. You will set up equipment, prepare patients, and perform studies per department protocols.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, image acquisition, and ensuring proper documentation and privacy. Collaboration with radiologists and other staff is essential to maintain patient safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification required at hire, BLSPreferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate NM equipment and position patients to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Verify patient identity and order accuracy; maintain patient privacy and comfort.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards; report equipment issues.
• Review images and ensure timely transfer to PACS and radiologist review.
• Assist in other modalities and help with patient transport when needed.
