Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Georgia to perform a wide range of imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and diagnostic quality. The role requires independent judgment, strong attention to infection control, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include operating NM equipment, verifying orders, maintaining instruments, and collaborating with the care team to support timely exams and positive patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience performing imaging procedures.
• Experience in nuclear medicine is preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to obtain the best possible study while maintaining image quality.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisor to enable timely fixes.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain NM equipment per infection-control policy.
• Verify clinician orders and patient identity prior to procedures; ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Assist other technologists and support staff as needed; follow pre/post procedural care and Time Out process.
