Job summary

Indiana University Health in Fort Wayne is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support a hospital-based imaging program. The role operates in a single-technologist department, offering a unique chance to help establish workflows and contribute to a brand-new facility.

Planned start dates include March 2027 with orientation and training before the May 1, 2027 opening. The position may involve rotations through existing locations and requires licensure and compliance with radiologic safety

Qualifications

Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
Ability to work independently.
Comfort working in a new department build-out environment.
Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving radiopharmaceuticals to perform body function studies, organ imaging, and analyze biologic specimen.
Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly to record the requested diagnostic images.
Requires a strong understanding of handling radiopharmaceuticals during receipt, storage, administration, and disposal.
Knowledge of laboratory procedures and hospital, state, and federal policies on radioactive materials, hazardous chemicals, and body fluids.
