Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nuclear Med (NM) Tech performs nuclear medicine and PET CT exams, ensuring high-quality care and customer service. Responsibilities include receiving, calibrating, logging, administering, and monitoring radioactive isotopes per safety protocols.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine exams following protocols
• Handle radioactive isotopes safely
• Maintain accurate records
• Coordinate patient flow and inform patients about procedures
• Communicate professionally with staff, physicians, and patients
• Maintain necessary licenses and certifications
• Follow facility values and prepare patients for exams
• Properly dispose of radioactive waste

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
• Current registry by CNMT or ARRT(N)
• BLS certification required
• Experience with PET CT and CVOD preferred
