Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Carle Health in Norfolk, VA, performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapy using Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment. You will review orders, patient history, and ensure imaging quality and data transfer to PACS/RIS, while maintaining equipment and supplies.

You may assist with instruction of students and cross-trained modalities, and may cover lead or imaging coordinator duties as needed.

Qualifications

• CNMT certification within 1 year.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Radiography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapeutic administration.
• Reviews orders and patient history for medical necessity.
• Ensures imaging quality; transfers data to PACS and RIS.
• Maintains imaging equipment and manages supplies.
• Assists in instruction of students and cross-trained staff.
