Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging and non-imaging tests across age groups from neonatal to geriatric. The role is per diem and requires professional judgment with occasional supervision.

Candidates must hold ARRT(N) or ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification and complete an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology program. AHA certification is required before orientation ends.

Qualifications

• Certification is required: ARRT(N), ARRT(R), or NMTCB.
• Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology training program.
• AHA certification required prior to orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging and non-imaging tests on patients from neonatal to geriatric.
• Work independently with medical supervision as needed; provide professional judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret results.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of complex imaging and non-imaging tests on patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric, which require professional judgment and interaction with patients, physicians, and other allied health care professionals. He/she is able to work independently although technical supervision assistance is always available. Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine, Positron Imaging, radiation safety and the ability to evaluate the results along with the ability to determine the need for concomitant or additional studies is required.

Certification & Licensures

ARRT (N), ARRT(R), or NMTCB certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required *

• and/or successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology training program
• New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications

Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and competence in providing Nuclear Medicine services for patients of all ages including neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
