Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Winchester, VA to perform complex imaging and non-imaging tests for patients from neonatal to geriatric. The role requires independent work with supervision available as needed.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification, BLS, and has completed an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology program. Certification before orientation is required.

Qualifications

  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required or successful completion of accredited Nuclear Medicine/Radiologic training program.
  • BLS certification (Healthcare Provider) required before orientation.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine, Positron Imaging, radiation safety and ability to evaluate results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of imaging and non-imaging tests on patients across all ages.
  • Work independently with available supervision.
  • Interact with patients, physicians and allied health staff to ensure quality care.

He/she is able to work independently although technical supervision assistance is always available.
