Job summary

St. Luke’s Medical Center, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT and therapies. The role requires expertise in venipuncture, radiopharmacy handling, and accurate data entry.

Ideal candidates have ARRT(N) or NMTCB certs, a Bachelor's in Nuclear Medicine, and 2 years of relevant experience. BLS is required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine required.
• 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience typical.
• ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required; BLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to advanced nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (therapy, QMP, PET/CT) per facility scope.
• Review medical records, orders and history to ensure exam accuracy.
• Inject radiopharmaceuticals and perform venipuncture with radiation safety.
• Record and label images accurately; enter data in HIS/RIS and coding for charges.
• Coordinate with staff and educate team members on procedures and safety.
