Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate patient care by performing department exams per procedures. You will set up equipment, position patients, and obtain high-quality diagnostic images while exercising independent judgment and initiative.

The role requires an accredited Nuclear Medicine program and at least 1 year of NM experience, ARRT-N/CNMT and BLS certifications, and strong communication skills for collaboration with clinicians and patients.

Qualifications

• Must exhibit excellent communication skills because this position requires frequent verbal and written communications with physicians, patients, visitors, departmental staff and nursing staff.
• Must have the ability to function independently and under pressure while still actively participating in a team environment.
• Must have the capacity to effectively multitask throughout the work shift.

Responsibilities

• Verifies proper clinician order for procedure and obtains complete clinical history.
• Assist with a wide variety of technical procedures and ensure high image quality.
• Maintains patient privacy and comfort and explains procedures using AIDET.
• Restocks linens and supplies, transports patients, and handles charging activities.
