Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Technical Lead in Ogden, UT, on-site. You’ll lead design, qualification, and installation of nuclear manufacturing systems, using ANSYS and CAD tools while coordinating with operations, quality, EHS, and regulatory teams.

You’ll perform FEA, drive capital projects end-to-end, and engage regulators.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 10+ years in manufacturing or chemical plant environments.
• PMP certification and project leadership experience.
• Proficiency with AutoDesk tools and ANSYS for design validation.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support to manufacturing and chemical operations.
• Lead design and implementation of new or modified systems, with specs and installation oversight.
• Apply materials and process knowledge to resolve production issues.
• Perform Finite Element Analyses (FEA) using ANSYS to substantiate designs.
• Drive capital projects end-to-end, including schedules, budgets, and risk plans.
• Engage customers and regulators, craft proposals, and pursue opportunities.
• Publish technical papers and present to customers and regulatory audiences.
