Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company’s WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Long-term contract Field Mechanical Engineer in Columbia, SC, onsite. You will represent LEU+ Engineering in field construction, oversee installations, manage interfaces, and ensure quality and safety in a nuclear environment.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 7 years of discipline-related engineering experience, 3 years in the nuclear industry, and OSHA 30-hour or equivalent safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 7 years of discipline-related engineering experience.
• 3 years in the nuclear industry.
• 3 years in technical project execution and/or field installation in nuclear.
• Experience in engineering, procurement and operations in nuclear environments.

Responsibilities

• Represent LEU+ Engineering in the field for mechanical construction / equipment installations.
• Oversee mechanical construction / equipment installation progress and interpret drawings.
• Coordinate interfaces and inspections to adhere to plans and schedules.
• Maintain records of construction activities, reports and as-built documentation.
• Ensure safety protocols and address hazards in the field.
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings as directed.
