Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Specialist – Structural Analysis (Nuclear) to deliver advanced structural analyses for nuclear and critical-service applications. You will evaluate stress, fatigue, natural frequencies, and dynamic stability using FEA and hand calculations, supporting product development and customer orders while ensuring compliance with Flowserve quality standards.

Qualifications

• Nuclear applications experience and understanding of relevant standards.
• Ability to perform structural analysis with sound engineering judgment.
• Experience with design-review processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, torsional, lateral, and rotor dynamic analyses.
• Evaluate equipment designs against codes and customer requirements.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and ASME documentation when required.
• Review design changes and assess impact on integrity, performance, and cost.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and customers.
