Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design system components for HTGRs and LWRs, from concept to realization. You will work in a matrixed team of engineers, data scientists, and project managers, adhering to codes (ASME, SAE, NASA) and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
• Experience with ASME Code III and VIII is required.
• SolidWorks 3D modeling experience is required.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and application is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform detail component, system and design engineering activities including drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Implement design control and configuration control concepts.
• Learn procedures and tools while supporting production.
• Specify procurement requirements for mechanical components or system operability.
