Job summary

ENERCON seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Nuclear Design Group in King of Prussia, PA. You will support a range of projects—from major power plant modifications to smaller design tasks—working with a multidisciplinary team and traveling to client sites as needed.

You will deliver high-quality engineering documents, adhere to standards, and contribute to safety-focused design efforts in the nuclear sector. A BS in ME and 3+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or DOE projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams; Proficient in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering documents: drawings, sketches, calculations and analyses meeting codes and client needs.
• Adhere to standards: align documents with client, ENERCON and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with industry codes, safety culture and advanced design techniques for the nuclear sector.
• Produce deliverables that meet QA standards and exceed client expectations.
• Build lasting client relationships through clear communication and professional interactions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Be hands-on in the field: travel to plant sites and perform on-site walkdowns.
