Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Nuclear Design Group in Glendale, AZ. You will participate in projects ranging from major power plant mods to small design tasks, delivering precise drawings, analyses and reports.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, travel to plant sites, and contribute to safety and efficiency through robust mechanical designs and clear client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering drawings, calculations and analyses.
• Ensure documents meet industry codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop engineering documents in line with client and regulatory needs.
• Stay current with industry codes, safety culture, and advanced design techniques.
• Produce deliverables that meet QA standards and project scope.
• Build relationships with clients through clear communication.
• Travel to plant sites for on-site assessments and field verification.
