Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will contribute to power plant projects, evaluate mechanical systems, and deliver robust engineering solutions for existing and new facilities.

Travel to client sites and collaboration with multi-discipline teams are expected. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years’ design experience, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing mechanical systems in power generation, nuclear, or DOE projects.
• U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to contribute as an individual contributor and work well in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering documents: drawings, sketches, calculations and analyses to meet codes, standards and client needs.
• Adhere to standards: align documents with client, ENERCON and regulatory requirements.
• Stay ahead of the curve: keep up with industry codes, safety principles and nuclear design techniques.
• Commit to excellence: produce deliverables that meet QA standards and project scopes.
• Build lasting client relationships through clear communication and professional interactions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated and comprehensive designs.
• Be hands-on in the field: travel to plant sites for on-site walkdowns and assessments.
