Job summary

Curtiss‑Wright Enertech division is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design hydraulically operated equipment and plant components. You will develop CAD models, drawings, and test plans, coordinating with electrical and analysis teams to ensure successful designs.

3+ years in mechanical design or testing, SolidWorks proficiency, and strong communication are required. This role offers growth, a sign-on bonus, and a collaborative environment in Brea, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of Mechanical Design or Test Engineering experience.
• High proficiency in CAD modeling, engineering drawings, GD&T, and related standards.
• Experience with test development, testing, or lab work is preferred.
• Ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and analysis teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Curiosity, adaptability and creative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs of hydraulically operated equipment, valves, and plant components in CAD (SolidWorks).
• Create component and assembly drawings and prepare engineering documentation including specs, test plans and procedures.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical and analysis teams to drive the design process.
• Create and execute test strategies based on system requirements and support hands-on testing.
• Assist technicians during fabrication or test setup and resolve issues.
• Review customer specifications and participate in meetings and technical discussions.
