Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMS - Target Rock seeks a Design Engineer to join our team in East Farmingdale, NY. The role focuses on reviewing specifications, creating 3D models, 2D layouts, and detailed drawings for valves and related products.

This position requires 2+ years of CAD experience, knowledge of valve design and industry codes, and proficiency in FEA and related tools for analysis. Collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of 2D and 3D CAD experience.
• Knowledge of products and industry requirements.
• Knowledge of Valve Design and Drafting Practices.
• Proficient in analysis techniques (tolerance/fit-up, structural, thermal, flow).
• Working knowledge of codes such as ASME B&PV, Y14.5 etc.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications for compliance with proposed design.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D layouts, assembly and detail drawings.
• Prepare clearance/stack-up studies for fit and function.
• Perform analyses and calculations to support designs.
• Select materials and hardware for product.
• Prepare and review design reports.
• Standardize design methods and analysis techniques.
• Act as project manager for design/development programs.
• Interface with Manufacturing, Welding and Quality Control for manufacturability.
