Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for its Nuclear Design Group. This full‑time role supports major power plant projects, performing design duties across piping, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.

You will work with a multi‑discipline team and travel to sites as needed. We value experience in nuclear, DOE, or power industry, strong writing and teamwork skills, and proficiency in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses meeting codes and client needs.
• Develop documents in line with standards and project directives.
• Stay current with industry codes and nuclear design techniques.
• Produce deliverables meeting QA standards and client expectations.
• Build client relationships through clear communication and professional interaction.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Travel to plant sites for on-site walkdowns and assessments.
