Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the Mechanical Analysis team for nuclear facilities and other industrial projects. You will oversee analyses, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor engineers.

You will partner with clients and project leaders to align technical resources, maintain quality systems, and drive continuous improvement while upholding a strong safety culture. This role sits in Naperville, IL, with some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of design engineering experience in power generation, nuclear power or heavy industrial; leadership experience preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; travel duration may vary by project and team needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and subject matter experts performing engineering analyses for nuclear power and other industrial facilities.
• Ensure analyses, calculations, and technical reports comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Maintain and improve organizational capabilities, methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Provide technical oversight and approval of complex engineering analyses.
• Support business development by engaging with clients and communicating capabilities.
• Ensure work products meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop engineering personnel to strengthen technical and leadership skills.
• Foster a nuclear safety culture emphasizing conservative decision-making and procedural compliance.
• Interface with clients, regulators, auditors, and senior leadership on technical issues and performance.
