Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA, is hiring a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing to join the Natrium Fuel Design and Supply team. You will oversee fabrication processes for Natrium fuel, including facility setup, HALEU feedstock metallization, and fuel production workflow, aligning with safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in manufacturing, with fuel-related experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a high-stakes, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field.
• Minimum seven years manufacturing experience, with at least two in fuel or fuel-adjacent areas.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with minimal direction on multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes for full-scale fuel fabrication and scaling.
• Produce manufacturing documentation for hardware delivery.
• Lead non-conformance evaluations and corrective actions.
• Review drawings for manufacturability to reduce cost and cycle time.
• Coordinate input to procure and produce equipment and components.
• Generate technical documents for requisitions.
• Review supplier submittals and ensure compliance.
• Ensure vendor work meets safety, quality, and nuclear requirements.
• Support quality culture and continuous improvement in nuclear safety.
