Job summary

GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy is offering an internship program starting May 2027 to support licensing activities for the current BWR operating reactor fleet in the US.

The role targets engineering, science, or business students and provides hands-on exposure to licensing, design, development, and regulatory concepts in real-world projects. It is a paid internship with relocation and housing support options.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Law, or a similar degree
• 40 hours availability per week
• Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans to implement the next wave of power uprates for the world-wide installed base of boiling water reactor nuclear plants
• Review, interpret, and implement such regulations and guidance
• Gain familiarity with GVH’s nuclear licensing methodologies
