Job summary

GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy in Wilmington, NC, is offering an internship for engineering, science, or business students starting May 2027 to support licensing activities for the current BWR fleet in the US.

You'll develop plans for power uprates, review new nuclear regulations, and learn GVH's licensing methodologies while gaining hands-on experience in a real-world regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Law, or a similar degree.
• 40 hours availability per week.
• Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans to implement the next wave of power uprates for the world-wide installed based of boiling water reactor nuclear plants.
• Review, interpret, and implement procedures and processes, including new nuclear regulations and guidance.
• Gain familiarity with GVH's nuclear licensing methodologies and seek improvements.

Skills
