Job summary

The GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy internship in Wilmington, NC offers hands-on exposure to licensing activities for the current BWR reactor fleet in the US. You will work on strategies to implement uprates and interpret evolving regulations, under guidance from professionals in environmental, nuclear engineering and law areas.

Applicants must be pursuing relevant degrees, commit to 40 hours weekly, and be US work-authorized without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Law.
• 40 hours availability per week.
• Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans to implement the next wave of power uprates for the world-wide installed based of boiling water reactor nuclear plants.
• Review, interpret, and implement procedures and processes, new nuclear regulations and guidance.
• Gain familiarity with GVH’s nuclear licensing methodologies.
