Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the Spent Fuel Handling Project in Scoville, Idaho. The role focuses on delivering structural design through construction and commissioning, with on-site responsibilities at Idaho National Laboratory.

Qualifications include a ABET-accredited civil/structural degree, 5+ years of design/analysis experience, and Idaho P.E. licensure or eligibility within six months. Must be able to work on-site daily and meet security requirements.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in Idaho or ability to obtain within six months.
• 5+ years design/analysis experience in structural systems.
• Ability to work onsite at Idaho National Laboratory daily and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering expertise in support of the SFHP Project.
• Review and check design documents and deliverables from contractors/subcontractors.
• Support SFHP design to construction completion and commissioning.
• Provide technical support to all aspects of structural engineering.
• Track project progress and contractual change orders using established reporting mechanisms.
• Conduct on-site inspections to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
