Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls seeks an Architect to join our Facility Design and Project Engineering team on a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off. Regular work at desert site locations is expected.

The Architect will lead design concepts, coordinate with engineering and vendors, and ensure compliance with DOE standards, safety and sustainability goals, while supporting nuclear and energy facilities and secure buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture from NAAB-accredited program.
• Professional Architecture License in Idaho or reciprocity within 6 months.
• 5+ years in architecture for Level 3, 2+ years for Level 4 (as applicable).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform architectural design for buildings and facilities, including space planning and drawing preparation.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, accessibility, life safety, and DOE/BEA standards.
• Lead design reviews, verification walks, and constructability reviews as primary architectural contact.
• Coordinate deliverables with engineering, vendors, and subcontractors for integrated, code-compliant designs.
