Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in New Stanton, PA is seeking a resource and technical manager for 15+ personnel within the Nuclear Instrumentation Systems (NIS), Detectors and Sensors engineering team. This hybrid role reports to the Director, Safety & Reactor System Engineering and focuses on developing talent, safety culture and value-added engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of leadership with preferred experience in instrumentation & control.
Experience in I&C systems
Knowledge in Nuclear Instrumentation Systems (NIS), Detector and Sensor systems preferred but not required.
Demonstrate the engineering of customer-oriented solutions supporting profitability goals.
Experience in offer development, estimating and executing complex projects.

Responsibilities

Responsible as a resource and technical manager for 15+ personnel.
Develop resources and lead people development activities.
Prepare and implement training plans with emphasis on long-term resource needs.
Develop engineering skills to provide value to the customer.
Provide feedback, evaluation for merit and promotion, address performance issues.
Lead with strategic vision and promote a safety-conscious culture.
Ensure products/services add value, collaborating with Westinghouse units.
Identify unmet customer needs through market channels and direct interaction.
Drive cost-efficient delivery meeting or exceeding business plan objectives.
Oversee group financial performance including productivity and cost centers.
