Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking Developmental Planner I/II to support planning for Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant in Welch, MN. The role focuses on preparing work control documents for preventive, corrective, and elective maintenance of plant equipment and structures.

Developmental Planner I/NII will advance through the Maintenance Planner pathway per the Qualification Manual, with opportunities to assume more complex work orders and responsibilities at the site.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical field or journeyman status in related craft or related power plant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years power plant experience in related field or operations.
• Power plant system training is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Work planning is responsible for the preparation of the work control documents required for supporting maintenance of equipment and structures at Prairie Island nuclear site.
• Develop and maintain work order packages and ensure they meet safety and reliability standards.
• Progress from Developmental Planner I to Maintenance Planner through the qualification manual and supervisor review.
