Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc in Minnesota seeks a supervisor to lead Instrument and Controls maintenance. You will coordinate safety, train and supervise crews, and partner with operations, planning and engineering to keep equipment on schedule.

You will participate in scheduling, training initiatives and continuous improvement projects, ensuring quality and adherence to standards while supporting a changing workload.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; two years of post-high school education or equivalent engineering-related experience.
• Five years of experience in nuclear, fossil, similar industrial facility, or military preferred.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support a changing work schedule as required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe execution of daily maintenance work; lead crew briefings and assignments.
• Collaborate with operations, scheduling, planning and engineering to resolve equipment issues.
• Attend scheduling meetings and ensure weekly work week preparedness and execution.
• Support training through the Training Committee and On-the-Job Training programs.
