Job summary

Xcel Energy's Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant in Welch, MN, is seeking a Developmental Planner I/II to plan work orders and support preventative, corrective, and elective maintenance of plant equipment and structures at the Prairie Island site.

Entry-level Planners will learn the Maintenance Planner Qualification Manual, develop the required knowledge to create simple Work Order packages, and progress toward full Maintenance Planner status under supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical field or journeyman status or related power plant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years power plant experience in related field or operations.
• Power plant system training is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Plan work orders to support maintenance of plant equipment and structures.
• Develop Work Plans and packages under supervision.
• Learn Maintenance Planner qualifications and progression toward Maintenance Planner role.
• Communicate with planning supervisors and site personnel to ensure safe, compliant work.
