Job summary

X Energy, LLC in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a Health and Safety professional to develop and implement programs ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations at a nuclear facility.

The role focuses on Occupational Safety and Health, Radiation Protection, and Construction Safety, including design reviews, hazard analysis, training, and incident investigations. Requires a relevant ABET-accredited degree and OSHA training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or a closely related technical field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Experience in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene.
• Knowledge of safety/health standards and programmatic requirements.
• Experience writing procedures to implement regulatory and code/standard requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
• OSHA 10-hour General Industry or Construction training or OSHA 30-hour General Industry as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop/implement safety and health programs and procedures.
• Identify hazards and evaluate hazard controls.
• Perform hazard assessments and investigations; propose corrective actions.
• Review injury trends and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Interpret OSHA/ANSI/AIHA/ACGIH standards for compliance.
• Provide training and maintain training records.
• Consult with operations and engineering on safety impacts of changes.
• Lead design reviews and support project phases.
• Coordinate incident investigations and implement improvements.
