Job summary

Nano Nuclear Energy, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Fuel Licensing Engineer to drive regulatory licensing and compliance in the Washington, DC metro area. The role offers 50% travel and a base salary of $115K–$130K, depending on experience.

You’ll work with the Director of Fuel Facilities Operations, coordinating with regulatory agencies and multiple internal functions to ensure timely filings and audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 1–5 years of licensing/regulatory experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory processes and recordkeeping.
• Strong project management, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret Regulatory requirements and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, renew, and track licenses, permits, registrations, and regulatory filings.
• Monitor federal, state, and local regulatory requirements affecting fuel operations.
• Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies, inspectors, and licensing authorities.
• Maintain licensing deadlines, documentation, and audit-ready records.
• Support audits and responses to regulatory inquiries and information requests.
• Partner with legal, operations, finance, and safety to address regulatory matters.
• Help develop and improve licensing procedures, controls, and compliance workflows.
