Job summary

NAC International is seeking a detail‑oriented Project Engineer to join our Peachtree Corners, GA team. This hybrid role offers on‑site and remote work flexibility while contributing to design, licensing, and SAR documentation for complex nuclear fuel cycle projects.

You will engage with engineers, project managers, and cross‑functional teams to support planning, risk assessment, and safety‑related systems development in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op accepted).
• Exposure to NRC-regulated industries or nuclear packaging is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic project management concepts, scheduling, and MS Office tools.
• Ability to analyze, solve problems, and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical inputs and documentation under supervision of senior engineers.
• Assist in hardware and system design, including drawings, calculations, and specs.
• Prepare and review licensing and SAR documentation to support regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain system operations, inspection, and maintenance materials.
• Incorporate performance, fabrication, and quality requirements into designs and resolve issues with suppliers.
• Support design change activities per established processes.
• Assist with creating and tracking project work breakdown structures and resource planning.
• Provide periodic onsite support for project operations as needed.
• Ensure work complies with procedures, standards, and regulations.
• Contribute to proposals and marketing efforts as needed.
• Learn and grow through mentorship in a regulated nuclear environment.
