Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions seeks an Entry Level Field Engineer to support construction on critical projects. You will interpret designs, adjust drawings to site conditions, manage technical issues, and ensure conformance to specifications on active construction sites.

You will assist construction supervision, participate in quality inspections, and help with documentation, safety practices, and coordination with Construction Managers to enable timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding engineering drawings, documents, and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication with management, customers, peers, and craft personnel.
• Ability to conduct field verifications of construction work and enforce compliance with drawings and codes.
• Collaborative problem solving between design engineers and the constructor.
• Knowledge of basic construction engineering principles and safety.
• Willingness to deliver high-quality work with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support in estimating, construction formation, project execution, testing/inspection, and closeout.
• Maintains records of installed quantities and completed work.
• Assists in obtaining permits/clearances and work authorizations before site start.
• Verifies work progress meets safety, quality, schedule, and environmental requirements.
• Prepares procedures and technical documents; may prepare requisitions for materials/services.
• Reviews lessons learned and collaborates with corporate personnel and partner projects.
• May rotate between field and office work as required.
