Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to support on-site construction activities, interpret and adjust designs for field conditions, and help ensure work meets design specifications and safety standards.

You will assist in coordinating with Construction Managers, review technical submittals, and help manage field changes while gaining exposure to a broad nuclear project portfolio across North America.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Effective written and verbal communication with management and craft personnel.
• Field verification of construction work to ensure compliance with drawings and codes.
• Collaborative problem solving between design engineers and field teams.
• Knowledge of construction safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support across estimating, construction, testing, and closeout.
• Maintains records of installed quantities and completed work.
• Supports permitting, lockouts, and work authorizations prior to site work.
• Verifies progress to meet safety, environmental, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Assists in preparing procedures and technical documents.
• May prepare requisitions for materials and services.
• Collaborates with corporate teams and other projects.
