Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions in Lenexa, KS seeks a Field Engineer to support construction of critical nuclear projects. You will interpret designs, adjust for site conditions, and ensure field changes conform to specifications.

You will work with Construction Managers and engineers to apply changes while upholding safety and quality standards. The role involves traveling to project sites, coordinating with craft personnel, and maintaining rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Aptitude in reading and understanding engineering design documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to communicate engineering solutions effectively to management and craft personnel.
• Ability to verify field construction per drawings, specs, and codes.
• Collaborative problem solving between design and construction teams.
• Knowledge of basic construction engineering principles.
• Understanding of construction safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support across estimating, construction formation, project execution, testing/inspection, and closeout.
• Maintains records of installed quantities and completed work.
• Assists in obtaining permits/clearances, lockouts, and work authorizations.
• Performs verification of work to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Assists in preparing procedures and technical documents.
• Reviews lessons learned and collaborates with corporate teams.
