Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking an Entry Level Safety Specialist to support the Site Specific Safety Plan in the field. You will report to the Project Safety Manager and help enforce safety standards across multiple sites, including incident investigations and corrective actions.

You will work with operations and craft teams to promote a strong safety culture, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30, 500 and 510 certifications are preferred.
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of construction safety and current OSHA requirements.
• Certification as Safety Professional or EMT preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, review, updating, and communication of the site safety plan to subcontractors.
• Collaborate with field personnel to promote safety program buy-in and ownership.
• Ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and detailed work plans; stop-work when needed.
• Plan and problem-solve with operations using leading indicators and upcoming work.
• Assist with incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain project safety files in compliance with OSHA/MSHA and company policies.
