Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer to support construction of critical nuclear projects across North America. You will interpret designs, adjust drawings for site conditions, and monitor construction quality and safety on site.

Working under supervision, you will assist in technical approvals, maintain records, and collaborate with engineers and field teams to ensure work aligns with design specifications and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform field verifications of construction work.
• Collaborative problem solving with design and construction teams.
• Knowledge of basic construction engineering principles.
• Knowledge of construction safety.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and motivation.
• U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility.
• Must complete security questionnaire and pass site access checks.
• Random drug and alcohol testing required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support in estimating, construction formation, project execution, testing/inspection, and project closeout.
• Maintains records of installed quantities and completed construction work.
• Assists in permits/clearances, lockouts, Escort Agreements, and work authorizations prior to on-site work.
• Performs verification of work to ensure safety, quality, environmental control, and schedule compliance.
• Assists in preparation of procedures, admin and technical documents.
• May prepare/approve purchase requisitions for materials and services.
• Review Lessons Learned and collaborate with corporate personnel on other projects.
