Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions, headquartered in Lenexa, KS, is seeking a Field Engineer to act as the construction site engineering resource across our nuclear projects. You will interpret designs, adjust them for site conditions, manage technical issues, and ensure conformance to specifications.

You will support construction supervision, provide final technical approvals, and coordinate field changes with Construction Managers. Travel and relocation may be required as projects progress nationwide.

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding engineering design documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to conduct field verifications of construction work to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support in estimating, construction formation, project execution, testing/inspection, and closeout.
• Maintains records of installed quantities and completed construction work.
• Participates in obtaining permits/clearances and work authorizations prior to on-site work.
• Performs verification of work in progress to ensure safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Assists in preparing procedures and technical documents.
• May prepare/approve purchase requisitions for materials and services.
• Reviews lessons learned and collaborates with corporate teams.
