Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to join our growing team. This role focuses on leading design efforts in a multi-district nuclear context, delivering safe and cost-effective electrical solutions across Lenexa, Itasca, and other sites in North America.

You will mentor junior staff, develop 3D models, and coordinate with construction teams to ensure constructability and design integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in design and/or drafting with an electrical focus.
• Proficiency with 3D design software: MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SmartPlant 3D or similar.
• DOE and/or commercial nuclear industry experience preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass background check.
• Strong independent work and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to designers.
• Review design work and resolve issues.
• Develop solutions for constructability and design challenges.
• Coordinate across disciplines to improve constructability.
• Prepare instrumentation and controls deliverables.
• Support design reviews and coordination throughout all project phases.
