Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks experienced Superintendents to manage maintenance and small construction across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems. You will supervise staff, plan daily work, and coordinate with teams while maintaining safety and compliance in a high-stakes environment.

Roles are offered at Superintendent 2 or 3 level; Q clearance and collaboration with multiple departments are expected.

Qualifications

• Moderate level experience directing multi discipline craft in facility maintenance, modification or construction projects.
• Moderate level knowledge interpreting mechanical/electrical documents, specs, drawings, schematics.
• Moderate understanding of workplace hazards and safety policy implementation.
• Moderate experience reviewing plans and coordinating cost estimates and schedules.
• Proven ability to track projects and provide updates.
• Ability to perform trend analysis for process improvement.
• Moderate to Expert lock-out/tag-out knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of building systems incl. electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting.
• Plan and supervise daily work assignments; monitor progress and completed work.
• Coordinate with Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning, Project Management, Procurement and Union Craft personnel.
• Ensure safety and security training and compliance; stop work if unsafe.
