Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Qualification (EQ) Engineer to join our Nuclear Services team in support of the Engineering & Safety Analysis (E&SA) group. The role offers flexibility to work from several U.S.

locations, with preference for Kennesaw, GA but including Kennewick, WA, Naperville, IL, Ft Worth, TX, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and remote options for senior staff. You will update EQ files, review calculations for aging analyses and operability, mentor junior engineers,

Qualifications

BS in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience as an engineer in the nuclear power industry, specifically supporting environmental qualification (EQ).
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with 10CFR50.59 screening and evaluations preferred.
Previous experience as an EQ Program Owner at a nuclear plant preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and/or review EQ file updates.
Prepare and/or review calculations to support EQ file updates (e.g., aging analyses, post-accident operating time calculations, heat rise calculations).
Prepare and/or review updates to license basis documents (LBDs) such as the UFSAR.
Prepare and/or review EQ evaluations to support operability beyond qualified life.
Mentor less experienced engineers in environmental qualification (EQ).
Potentially participate in client peer reviews, expert panels and NRC audits.
Lead EQ projects with a small team and provide direction to team members.
Interface with discipline and client counterparts to ensure project understanding and for business development.
