Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Qualification (EQ) Engineer to support our ESA group, working in a flexible location such as Kennesaw, GA or Huntsville, AL. The role includes preparing EQ files and calculations, updating life-cycle analyses, and supporting NRC audits.

You will mentor engineers and potentially lead small project teams. Candidates should have a BS in engineering and 3+ years in nuclear EQ, with strong communication skills and ~10% travel.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to mentor engineers in environmental qualification (EQ).
• Willingness to travel ~10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review EQ files updates.
• Prepare and/or review calculations for EQ file updates (aging analyses, post-accident operating time, heat rise calculations).
• Update license basis documents (LBDs) like UFSAR.
• Provide EQ operability evaluations for continued service past qualified life.
• Mentor junior engineers in EQ.
• Support client peer reviews, NRC audits as needed.
• Lead small EQ project teams and communicate with PM and clients.
