Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Qualification (EQ) Engineer to support the Engineering & Safety Analysis (E&SA) group, primarily in Kennesaw, GA, with flexible locations including Knoxville, TN.

The role involves preparing EQ files, calculations, and LBD updates, mentoring engineers, and supporting NRC-related activities. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in nuclear EQ, strong communication skills, and travel around 10%.

Qualifications

  • BS in an Engineering Discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineer in the nuclear power industry, specifically supporting environmental qualification (EQ).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with 10CFR50.59 screening and evaluations preferred
  • Previous experience as an EQ Program Owner at a nuclear plant preferred
  • Approximate travel of 10% as needed

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or review EQ files updates.
  • Prepare and/or review calculations to support EQ file updates.
  • Prepare and/or review updates to license basis documents (LBDs) such as the UFSAR.
  • Prepare and/or review EQ evaluations to support operability beyond qualified life.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers in environmental qualification (EQ).
  • Interface with client counterparts to ensure project understanding and for business development.
