Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or a PE license.
• 3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience preferred.
• Nuclear power plant experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Regulatory knowledge related to nuclear industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of PWR systems, structures and components preferred.
• Experience with electrical power system analysis and protection software tools like ETAP or CAPTOR preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven organizational skills with ability to balance multiple projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate design development, calculation development and updates, and drawing changes for plant modifications and retrofits.
• Prepare project cost estimates and schedules for design modifications.
• Conduct field walkdowns for as-built verification and constructability.
• Provide design oversight for external Architect/Engineering firms and interface with project managers and plant personnel.
• Possibly manage special projects and perform refueling outage roles including testing after modifications.
