Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced electrical engineering leader to head the group on complex nuclear power plant projects, guiding multi-discipline interface and ensuring deliverables meet technical, quality, and budget goals.

You will mentor team members, develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules, review progress, and coordinate proposals, with emphasis on using data, automation, and AI to improve workflows and results.

Qualifications

• A BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ten+ years’ experience in electrical engineering design for nuclear power plants.
• 3+ years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience with equipment/material selection and design change packages.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a lead role.
• Experience with LV/MV distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead group members to ensure delivery of electrical engineering project deliverables within scope and budget.
• Define scope, deliverables, and track progress; conduct status meetings and prepare reports.
• Coordinate detailed design phases and interface with other disciplines.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex modifications at nuclear plants.
• Provide technical oversight including calculations, equipment specs, and package reviews.
• Interface with client to validate scope and ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor and guide the development of the group.
