Job summary

ENERCON seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Nuclear Design Group. The role spans design studies, calculations, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams on complex projects in the nuclear and DOE sectors.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (ABET), 3+ years in electrical design, and US citizenship. Travel ~10% to project sites may be required across multiple US locations, including Baton Rouge, LA.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls).
• Experience in power generation, nuclear, or government (DOE) projects.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless integration of design work.
• Develop innovative design studies and provide accurate estimates to drive projects.
• Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment and evaluate bids.
• Perform essential electrical calculations for designs and installations.
• Travel to project sites for walkdowns and startup support.
• Lead and inspire teams to achieve project goals.
