Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, develop design studies, and produce engineering calculations for high‑voltage systems, switchgear, and motor controls.

The role offers growth across mid-level to principal tracks, mentoring colleagues, and opportunities to lead projects. Occasional on-site travel to client sites is expected, with a focus on technical excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited E.E. degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical design experience (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls).
• Experience in power generation, nuclear, or government (DOE) projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contracts.
• Travel approximately 10%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across engineering teams and disciplines.
• Develop design studies and perform engineering calculations.
• Attend project meetings, conduct field walkdowns, mentor junior engineers.
• Prepare estimates and draft specifications for electrical equipment.
• Support startup activities and on-site installations.
