Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group in the United States. You will contribute to design studies, calculations, and engineering analyses, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to drive project success.

The role offers growth toward senior, principal, or leadership positions, with travel to project sites and mentorship of junior engineers. Candidates should have 3+ years’ electrical design experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of design experience for electrical systems (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls).
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless integration across project teams.
• Develop design studies, and prepare calculations and analyses.
• Attend project meetings, perform field walkdowns, and mentor junior engineers.
• Draft electrical equipment specifications and evaluate technical bids.
• Perform essential electrical calculations to support designs and installations.
• Travel to project sites, oversee installations, and support startup activities.
• Lead and inspire teams to achieve project success.
