Job summary

Standard Nuclear is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist in Oak Ridge, TN to develop, edit, format, and maintain technical and business documents across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and leadership teams.

The role emphasizes clear communication, control of documents, and collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and consistency. Occasional audits and system support are expected, with a strong focus on attention to detail and professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of documentation/records management/technical communication experience.
• Experience creating/editing procedures, work instructions, reports, presentations or controlled documents.
• Experience with document management systems and workflow tools like SharePoint is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, format, and maintain procedures, work instructions, and technical documents.
• Collaborate with engineers, operations, quality, and business teams to translate input into clear documentation.
• Review documents for clarity, formatting, grammar, consistency, and completeness.
• Standardize language, formatting, and organization across documents.
• Support templates, style guides, and document standards.
• Assist with document control workflows, routing, release, and archiving.
